As a mom, shopping for clothes with my daughters has always been equal parts fun and frustrating. They’re at that stage where they want to express themselves, but finding clothes that both look good and feel good can be a challenge. Either the options are too grown-up, too babyish, or just don’t fit right.
That’s where the idea for The Headliner was born.
I wanted my girls to feel confident walking into school, practice, or hanging out with friends, without me worrying if something was too cropped, too see-through, or simply uncomfortable. Together, we dreamed of creating a place where moms and daughters could actually agree on clothes, where the styles are trendy enough for the girls and practical enough for the moms.
Building Something Together
Starting The Headliner has been such a special journey for us. My daughters help choose pieces, give feedback on fit, and (of course) model their favorites. They love knowing their voices matter, and I love that this business is teaching them confidence, creativity, and what it means to work hard for something you believe in.
Clothes That Work for Both Moms & Girls
Our goal is simple: curate clothes that moms feel good about buying and daughters feel excited to wear. Think sweatshirts, tees, joggers, and fun accessories that are easy to style, comfortable for everyday, and age-appropriate without sacrificing trend.
Because let’s be honest, moms want their girls to feel like the best version of themselves, not like they’re trying to fit into someone else’s idea of “cool.”
Why We Call It The Headliner
The name came from a belief we repeat often in our house: “You don’t need to follow the crowd, you can be the headliner of your own story.”
That’s the heart of everything we do. Every piece we choose and every story we share is about helping girls feel confident enough to stand out in their own unique way.
The Best Part?
My favorite thing is when my daughters put on something from The Headliner and light up in the mirror. They feel good, they look good, and they’re comfortable enough to just be themselves.
That’s the kind of clothing I wanted for them, and I’m so proud we get to share it with other moms and girls, too.
